St. Croix Orthopaedics Welcomes Third Podiatric Surgeon

June 18, 2013

St. Croix Orthopaedics, P.A., (SCO) welcomed its third podiatric surgeon to the practice this week. Benjamin L. Clair, D.P.M., will start seeing patients at SCO’s clinics in Wyoming and Woodbury, MN, and in Osceola, WI, starting in July.
“Dr. Clair was introduced to our practice several years ago while completing his residency,” said Melanie Sullivan, CEO at St. Croix Orthopaedics. “He was impressed with SCO’s quality of care, dedication to innovative treatment options and community clinic expansions. Fortunately, he decided the time was right to join us and we couldn’t be happier to have his foot and ankle expertise onboard.”

Dr. Clair’s clinical and research interests include total ankle replacement, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, foot and ankle sports injuries, diabetic disorders, cartilage repair and tendon disorders. He graduated from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois. He then completed a comprehensive three-year residency in Foot and Ankle Surgery at Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota, during which he performed over 1,700 surgical procedures. Prior to joining SCO, Dr. Clair had a distinguished practice in northern Minnesota.

Dr. Clair is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in Foot Surgery and in Rearfoot, Reconstructive and Ankle Surgery. He has been active in research for a number of lower leg, ankle and foot problems, and he continues to lecture or present to varied audiences, both academic and professional, and to publish in the medical literature.

In his personal time, Dr. Clair enjoys fly fishing, running, hunting, downhill skiing, biking and playing guitar.
